Prime Minister Narendra Modi utilized a virtual reality headset to inspect the Kashi Ropeway project in Varanasi.

During his visit to his parliamentary constituency, he launched various development initiatives and addressed public gatherings. He emphasized Kashi’s potential as a sports city and highlighted its contributions to Make in India and Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

Modi also outlined plans for Kashi to become a hub for employment and skill development, including the completion of the National Institution of Fashion Technology campus to create opportunities for local youth and weavers.

The Prime Minister highlighted the transformation of Kashi into a center for health and education over the past decade, emphasizing the addition of a new medical college to further enhance its identity.

During the inauguration, diagnostic machines and equipment worth Rs 35 crore were unveiled, along with the initiation of a facility to manage bio-hazardous waste from the hospital. Additionally, the establishment of the National Center of Aging at BHU underscores the city’s growing importance in the healthcare sector.

Alongside the inauguration of diagnostic equipment worth Rs 35 crore and the launch of a bio-hazardous waste management facility, PM Modi attended celebrations for the 647th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas, unveiling a statue in his honor. He also distributed prizes for the Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita and launched two books on Kashi. Moreover, the Prime Minister inaugurated various development projects totaling over Rs 13,000 crore and visited a milk processing unit, interacting with beneficiaries.
